Pearnel Charles Jr., MP, JP - Minister of Labour and Social Security The purpose of the post-cabinet press briefing is to provide the media and the public with an opportunity to learn about the decisions that have been made by the Cabinet. The briefing is usually held on Wednesdays at 9:00 AM at the Office of the Prime Minister. The briefing is hosted by Senator Dr. the Hon. Dana Morris Dixon, Minister of Education, Skills, Youth and Information who is responsible for providing an overview of the decisions that have been made. The ministers responsible for the individual portfolios will then provide more details about the decisions that affect their areas of responsibility. The post-cabinet press briefing is an important way for the government to communicate with the public about its policies and priorities. It is also an opportunity for the media to ask questions about the decisions that have been made. Carib Cement To Use Pneumatic Tyres In Cement Production @Jun 23 2021 06:00 PM
Caribbean Cement Company Limited will be using end-of-life pneumatic tyres in the cement-production process. It’s estimated that more than two million used tyres are generated in Jamaica annually and landfills receive approximately 185,700 tyres per year. The C-C-C-L has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with government – agreeing to convert used tyres at the landfills into an alternative source of fuel, thereby reducing costs and making a positive impact on the environment.
