IAJ Urges Finance Minister To "Hasten His Steps" To Review Investment Guidelines @Jun 3 2021 02:12 PM
As Jamaica joins the rest of the world in preparing for the annual hurricane season, the Insurance Association of Jamaica, IAJ, is urging homeowners and renters to arm themselves with property insurance. Speaking Wednesday at the IAJ’s press brief, president Dr Adrian Stokes said just over 20% of Jamaican homeowners have insurance coverage. The IAJ president is also urging Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Dr Nigel Clarke to “hasten his steps” to revise Investment Guidelines to allow the Insurance Industry to “play a greater role in terms of providing funding for both the Private Sector as well as Government through Public Private Partnerships.” Gabrielle Thompson reports. #Insurance #Investment #PBCJNews Don't forget to like, share and subscribe.
