The Government of Jamaica, through the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service (MOFPS), and the Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions (JCTU) come together for the official signing of the new Public Sector Wage Agreement covering the contract period April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2028. The agreement follows months of negotiations between the Government and representatives of public-sector workers. The package includes an $80,000 one-off payment for the first year, followed by a 5% salary increase in 2026/27 and a further 5% increase in 2027/28.
