GOJ And Trade Unions Signs Agreement For Public Sector Wage Increase

The government and the Jamaica confederation of trade union has signed the heads of agreement for the contract period 2021-2022. The agreement which was signed in Kingston on Friday, will see a four per cent wage increase for approximately 50,000 public-sector employees, for the period April 2021 to March 2022.

Frontier Airlines Inaugural Flight From Atlanta To Montego Bay

United States based Frontier Airlines’ made its inaugural flight from Atlanta, Georgia, to Montego Bay in St James on Monday. Frontier’s Airbus A320 touched down at Sangster International Airport at 8:39 a.m. with 49 passengers on board. It was a direct two-and-a-half-hour flight from the US to Jamaica.
The airline’s sales manager, Alfredo Gonzalez, says more flights are on the horizon.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness wants world leaders to work with the same urgency to combat climate change as they did with the COVID 19 pandemic. He made the call while addressing the World Leaders Summit at the start of the global climate conference in Glasgow, Scotland on Monday.
