A consignment of the COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by AstraZeneca arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston Jamaica on Sunday May 30. This batch represents another allocation from the COVID-19 Global Access or COVAX Facility. Reporter Marlon Samuels has more in this report.

Within a few days, the Office of the Political Ombudsman will be issuing its 2020 General Election Campaign Review Report, a first in Jamaica’s history. This follows what can be considered the most unusual campaign period in the country’s recent past given the COVID-19 Pandemic, and the first time implementation of the Campaign Finance Legislation. 30% Discount On Licensing Fee For Route Taxis And Buses

Recognizing the impact of the Pandemic on the transport sector, the government has authorised a 30 per cent discount on licensing fee for route taxi and bus operators. Speaking in Parliament last week, Transport and Mining Minister, Robert Montague explained the decision to grant the discount stems from government- directed concessions.
