Jamaica has been celebrating National Environmental Awareness Week which started on June 2. The week of activities has springboard into other events. Earth Ambassadors, which is a local organization which is committed to protecting the environment, has embarked on a journey of their own to clean up the coastlines. Teachers, especially those over 60 are being urged to get vaccinated. The appeal came at a virtual town hall meeting on Friday. Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Education Youth and information minister Fayval Williams discussed vaccination and sanitization in the school system.
