Ministry of Labour and Social Security Regional Labour Talk Roadshow - Information Session

Thematic discussion will be held on Productivity following on the Jamaica Productivity Centre’s last June Summit. The productivity centre will examine the key ingredients for productive efficiency across key industries including the Global Services Sector, Manufacturing, Tourism, and the Financial Services. This presentation will set the platform for panel discussions on the Future of Work. In particular, the vexed issue of Labour Supply and possible shortages by industry will be dissected to arrive at consensus on the pathway to achieving the optimal balance between employment and the digitization of industries that are heavily labour intensive. The Jamaica Information Service(JIS) is aimed at reporting up to date factual Government News for Jamaican Citizens here and abroad.
