Tensions flared in the House as Angela Brown Burke, MP for St Andrew South Western, was suspended from Parliament after a confrontation involving the ceremonial mace during debate on the NaRRA Bill. House Speaker Juliet Holness ruled the actions breached parliamentary rules, stressing the mace must never be used in protest.
