Records and Information Management Security: Empowering Individuals and Organizations in a Connected World
This ceremony marks the official opening of Records and Information Management (RIM) Month 2026 and will feature presentations, recognitions, and discussions focused on strengthening records management practices, safeguarding information, and enhancing organizational resilience in a connected world.
The programme includes:
• Opening Remarks by Ms. Ketanya Laing, Government Archivist (Acting), JARD
• Greetings from Dr. Kasan Troupe, Permanent Secretary
• Overview of the GoJ Records and Information Management Programme
• Issuance of plaques to recently off-boarded public entities
• Keynote Address by Mrs. Gayan Facey, Campus Records Manager, UWI Mona
• Video presentations on JARD’s work and disaster responsiveness
• Musical interludes and formal proceedings
The event will be followed by an Afternoon Seminar for RIM Practitioners, featuring sessions on safeguarding paper, audiovisual, and digital records in the event of water-related disasters.
Join us as we highlight the importance of securing records and information to ensure continuity, accountability, and national resilience.
