In Jamaica food borne illness is grossly under reported, but the Ministry of Health is monitoring the numbers while working to educate those involved in the food services sector. That’s the word from Director of Veterinary Public Health in the Ministry of Health & Wellness Dr. Linnette Peters. She says her department has been working in the field with famers, especially those involved in animal husbandry and meat processing.
